Central African Republic — Cement Manufacturing Project
Proposed area: Mbaïki/Lobaye, subject to confirmation of the final site. Indicative initial capacity: approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum.
The earlier project brief refers to an indicative development-financing concept of approximately US$450 million. This is not an approved budget or committed financing amount and requires independent validation.
Development priorities include land and site verification, geological and market studies, preliminary engineering, environmental and social assessment, cost review and a viable commercial structure.
Massangui–Yamba Cement Plant — Republic of the Congo
Proposed area: Massangui–Yamba, Bouenza Department. Indicative initial capacity: approximately 1.5 million tonnes per annum.
The earlier brief refers to a preliminary cement-component estimate of approximately US$450 million. Scope, capital costs, logistics, utilities and financing require further review.
Next steps include confirmation of site rights, raw-material assessment, demand and distribution analysis, engineering, permits, environmental studies and financing preparation.
Massangui–Yamba Renewable Energy Hub — Republic of the Congo
The preliminary concept considered up to 100 MW of solar PV with battery storage and possible future expansion, subject to feasibility.
An earlier planning range of US$285–505 million was provided for the energy component. This range requires independent review and must not be treated as an approved project budget.
Combined programme — important budget clarification
The supplied brief states a combined preliminary programme estimate of approximately US$750 million. The two component estimates above add up to approximately US$735–955 million.
These figures must be reconciled with the project sponsor, including shared infrastructure, scope overlap, contingency and financing costs, before they are presented together as a consistent programme budget.
All capacities, estimates, land rights, approvals, contracts and financing concepts remain subject to verification and due diligence.
